Chocolate Shavings

Chocolate is the first luxury. It has so many things wrapped up in it: deliciousness in the moment, childhood memories, and that grin-inducing feeling of getting a reward for being good. –Mariska Hargitay

SPEAKER

Megan A. Costello lives the dream of every culinary arts student. The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Greystone was a place where Megan was repeatedly inspired by guest speakers while receiving the highest level of education available in the culinary world. Those experiences gave her the skillset, and more importantly, the mindset that allowed her to seize the opportunities that paved her career in chocolate. Over the course of nineteen years, Megan built two factories from the ground up and created millions of pounds of chocolate confections for clients worldwide. Her expertise was essential to the equipment design and the operating systems and procedures to support its massive volume production in addition to creating a healthy culture and workplace for the employees. Shortly after walking out of the doors of the CIA, Megan’s twenty-year career as a Master Chocolatier and accomplished business owner began. Choosing to retire from the day-to-day operations and sell her interest in her chocolate business, Megan is now giving a voice to her expertise and experience by creating a powerful speaking platform that allows her to instill knowledge and values in both entrepreneurs and seasoned professionals alike.
